The ISIDOR Community

A strong community

In 2012, the ISIDOR Community was established as a forum for exchanging experiences and coordinating joint further developments of the ISIDOR application.

Since then, the community has worked closely with Westernacher Solutions to develop many mature, future-proof and jointly financed solutions for digitization in the administrations of the Catholic and Protestant churches.

  • Planning requirements together

  • Direct influence on product development

  • Networking and exchange

  • Cost savings through joint financing

  • Benefit from the experience of long-standing community members

Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony is new project partner

With the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony (EVLKS), we welcome a new project partner. EVLKS, based in Dresden, is another Protestant regional church with which we are working on digital development. As part of the prototype project, we are jointly developing a solution that will replace the existing legacy applications in the long term. The aim is to test specific requirements, evaluate ISIDOR in practice and thus create the basis for possible licensing.

We look forward to the joint projects!

Diocese of Augsburg becomes new ISIDOR customer

We warmly welcome the Diocese of Augsburg to the ISIDOR community! The diocese is embarking on a major project with ISIDOR and the Printing Units module – the creation of an automated printing schematic. As part of the ISIDOR introduction, the import functions and interfaces will be extensively expanded and modernized. This will significantly facilitate the integration of existing (legacy) systems and further strengthen ISIDOR’s role as a central data hub.

Welcome, we look forward to the joint projects!

AI expertise for the future of ISIDOR

The ISIDOR team is delighted to welcome Dr. Maria Börner as a new member of the Church team. With her extensive expertise in the field of artificial intelligence, she will contribute valuable knowledge and innovative impulses to make ISIDOR a future-proof product.

The use of AI opens up new possibilities: Processes can be designed more efficiently and data can be used and processed more intelligently. In this way, digital collaboration within the church can be sustainably improved. Their experience helps to make responsible and practical use of these opportunities.

It is particularly valuable that Maria Börner, in addition to her technological expertise, also focuses on ethics, sustainability and responsibility. In this way, our values are also visible and lived in ISIDOR’s digital transformation.

We have already taken the first steps on this path with the “KIrche beginnt mit KI” workshop and look forward to continuing on this path together. We are delighted that Dr. Börner is contributing her expertise and working with us to further develop ISIDOR.

  • ISIDOR in Fulda
    New

The ISIDOR team is moving – Fulda will be our new center.

A new chapter for ISIDOR: after many years in Bad Kreuznach, the team relocated to Fulda in October.

The move marks the beginning of a new phase of collaboration. Over the past year and a half, the team has grown steadily and is spread across several locations in Germany. Fulda was therefore a very conscious choice – centrally located, excellently connected and easily accessible for all colleagues from all over the country.

With the new location, we are creating a modern, flexible working environment that suits our growing team and the requirements of our projects. Our customers also benefit from the location: Fulda is located almost in the heart of Germany, is easily accessible by train and our new office is just a few minutes’ walk from the main train station – with a view of Fulda Cathedral.

The previous location in Bad Kreuznach will remain part of our history. For many years, it was an important place for collaboration, characterized by strong partnerships, exciting projects and a committed team spirit. We are taking these experiences with us – they form the foundation for what is now being created.

In the meantime, the new rooms are filling with life – and with fresh ideas. We look forward to many inspiring workshops, encounters and joint projects with our customers in Fulda and beyond.
