The new ISIDOR version 8.2 has been delivered to customer systems over the past few days.
What’s new?

• The tasks carried out by so-called CRON jobs from ISIDOR can now be composed in the form of system workflows. They are thus optimally coordinated, consume fewer resources, log their runs and report to administrators if they cannot be executed without errors.
• ISIDOR supports the connection to Azure AD
• ISIDOR’s standard imports can specifically exclude data records from import if, for example, they are not intended for import for data protection reasons, but the source application is not able to deliver these data records.
• On the “Personnel / Committees” tab of pastoral care units, a new feature can be used to automatically display personnel who are assigned to this pastoral care unit in the personnel management system via the employer number
• Pastoral care staff are often assigned to cooperation areas of parishes. Using new buttons, the exact distribution of personnel to the subordinate pastoral care areas can now be carried out and visualized for different types of cooperation areas
• ISIDOR 8.2 contains all new interfaces for the new ISIDOR ORGNIZE application

The current version also contains many other improvements and bug fixes to make working with ISIDOR even more pleasant.

We warmly welcome the Diocese of Münster to the ISIDOR community! With the licensing of ISIDOR and the modules GEO, print works and distribution management, an exciting joint project for the introduction and migration is starting.

As part of the implementation, the modules are customized, data is migrated from the previous application and usage is optimally configured. Particularly noteworthy is the new function for historicizing organizational and territorial units, which makes it possible to visualize previous structures – a significant extension of ISIDOR. Numerous new fields and relations also extend the range of functions in the long term.

By switching from a Navision-based solution to ISIDOR, the diocese is setting a new standard in the management of master data and metadata for large church organizations. Germany’s largest diocese – with over 1.63 million faithful – is thus not only strengthening its digital infrastructure, but also enriching our customer network enormously.

Madlin Barz joined the ISIDOR team as a consultant in March 2025. Previously, she contributed her expertise to the Archdiocese of Hamburg as project manager for ISIDOR and was responsible for the initialization and management of the data maintenance team.
In her free time, she is involved as a children’s and youth group trainer in the judo department of her sports club. She is also active in sports – be it judo, crossfit or cycling, and she also enjoys gardening.
